When an automotive workshop is sold, a significant portion of the value the new owner is purchasing is held within the workshop management system, such as client records, vehicle service reminders, and service history. This article clarifies the options we provide to help with this process.

Options Based on Industry
Automotive Workshops: Convert to Auxo Workshop
Auxo Workshop is our latest technology solution, providing a fully online workshop management system that integrates with Xero. We can efficiently get the new owner up and running on Auxo Workshop using our data conversion tools to convert data such as client, product, and vehicle details (including reminders and service history).

- When you sign up for a trial, and decide to proceed, please reach out to support@auxosoftware.com to let the customer success team know you will need data converted from Synergy.
Important Notes: This Auxo Workshop option is only for Automotive Workshops (Mechanics) as Auxo Workshop is a workshop management system. If you have a software rental or monthly support plan in place, please ensure you contact our accounts team on accounts@sam.co.nz to cancel the billing when you no longer require it for your Synergy program leading up to or following the sale of the business. Note a 4 week notice period applies for cancellation.
A Read Only copy of Synergy can be retained for historic lookup (considering the data conversion into Auxo Workshop may be limited to the last 4 years etc). Contact accounts@sam.co.nz to organise this along with the cancellation of any software rental, or software support contract you may need cancelled for the old Synergy program.
Fuel Retailers - Retain Synergy or Swap to Triquestra + Auxo Workshop
If the business is a fuel retailer/petrol station, you may be able to retain Synergy, however we would recommend you look into utilising Auxo Workshop for your Workshop + Triquestra for your Point of Sale.

Retain Synergy: To initiate this process, please download the Synergy License Transfer Form

This form should be completed and signed by both parties (new and current/old owner) and emailed to samadmin@sam.co.nz
If the new owner is retaining the Synergy program, you may need to clear the oustanding balances on customer or supplier accounts by entering manual debit/credit journals.
Shortly after we receive these forms, the new owner will be sent an Order and Account Application form to have their new account and Software Rental/Support & Maintenance Plan set up. If you haven't heard back within 2-3 business days, please call 09 583 2455 to follow up.
All Other Non-Automotive Industries
New Synergy licenses are limited to Petrol Stations. If you are not an automotive workshop but could still benefit from the job tracking and service history functionality of a workshop management system, consider Auxo Workshop as mentioned above.
Alternatively, you might want to explore non-industry specific solutions such as Xero. Xero often has integrations with industry-specific solutions that may better serve your specific needs.
